The I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! cast have been busy welcoming their two new campmates to jungle life.
Love Island favourite Maura Higgins and broadcaster Reverend Richard Coles made a dramatic entrance on Thursday’s episode (21 November).
That said, the pair are not quite roughing it like the rest. Instead, they’re being treated to mugs of tea, bubble baths, and fluffy robes – unbenownst to their fellow stars, one of whom Higgins has a surprising and potentially awkward connection with.
Also during the episode, Coleen Rooney opened up about her relationship with Wayne Rooney and appeared to address his “difficult” cheating scandals in the past.
Among this year’s contestants are Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall and Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse. Others include McFly singer Danny Jones, Barry McGuigan and Rooney, who is the show’s highest-paid star in its history.

Richard and Maura will also be “joining” Dean and Danny at the trial! Whether that means they’ll be partaking or not remains to be seen...
Plot twist! It’ll be Dean AND Danny facing Highstreet of Horrors in tomorrow night’s episode.
The votes are in... who will be taking on the next challenge? Dean or Danny...?
“I never thought I’d see the day that I’d sleep with a vicar – but my friends won’t be shocked!”
Wild boar fillet? That doesn’t sound so bad!
It’s safe to say that Maura and the Rev have everyone fooled!
Aw, good friends!
Thursday 21 November 2024 22:23 , Annabel NugentQuickly Maura and the Reverend have to hide away their big double bed as their worse-off campmates deliver the rickety one that they’ve sacrificed out of the goodness of their hearts.
“I never knew being evil was so much fun,” says the Rev.
The truth comes out... it was Melvin who gave Tulisa the packet of salt at the hopes of having just one seasoned meal.
The web of lies continues...
More contraband?! Tulisa is declaring something, too – a packet of salt!

The dream team
Thursday 21 November 2024 22:03 , Annabel NugentThat’s some top-notch acting from Maura and the Reverend as they dump offal onto Melvin while enjoying a cup of tea themselves...
Offal seems to a recurring theme on this show... Good luck to you, Melvin!
Could viewers be in for an awkward encounter between Maura and one of her new campmates? Finally, some potential drama on screen!
I’m a Celeb fans predict ‘awkward’ reunion between Maura and fellow campmate
“I’m going to start crying...” Maura must’ve got an A* in GCSE drama – she’s tricked Coleen Rooney into feeling sorry for her.
This reverend sure knows how to lie...
Maura is pure TV entertainment
Thursday 21 November 2024 21:46 , Annabel NugentA “seven-star camp” might be pushing it, but this certainly is the nicest that the jungle has ever looked.
AND fluffy robes? They’re spoiling them now.
Ooh la la – bed and a bubble bath! It’s not quite the Love Island villa, but beggars can’t be choosers...
“Jesus christ! Oops sorry reverend...”
That’s the Maura we love!
Maura cuts to the chase: “This looks like s*** camp.”
First to enter, is Reverend Richard Coles, who has only one thing to compare his new jungle home to, saying: “I once fell asleep by some bins outside Amnesia night club in Ibiza, I don’t remember much about it, but it’s that level”.
The moment we’ve all been waiting for...
Thursday 21 November 2024 21:39 , Annabel NugentHere comes Maura and Reverend Richard! But where are they? What’s Jungle Junkyard?
Coleen Rooney appears to address husband Wayne’s ‘difficult’ cheating scandals
Thursday 21 November 2024 21:39 , Annabel NugentSpeaking to her fellow campmate, Strictly’s Oti Mabuse about her husband’s difficult past, Rooney explained: “Since the first mistake he’s made, that’s been in the public, people have not forgiven.
“When things have happened the public have wanted it to just go oh, split, you know, that’s it, split them up. But the fact is, there’s always been love still there.”
She added: “It has been difficult, but we’re happy now, after all those years… we’re a team.”

Reverend Coles, too, has spoken ahead of his late arrival in the jungle.
“I have flown in from Brazil and the Amazon to do this, as I have been giving some talks there,” he said. “It’s a tougher gig being the late entrant as you already have some groups forming. And I am nervous of getting in there and not recognising people. You could be talking to the most famous influencer in the world and not know who it is. So that will be tricky.
“I am also worried about how I am going to cope with educating myself on 500 calories a day. Five hundred calories is normally elevenses for me! But at least having been in Brazil and the Amazon, I will be jungle ready. There is both trepidation and anticipation, but I accepted the offer because this is my kind of thing. I do know Ant and Dec too - Dec and I share a love of sausage dogs! We’ve swapped pictures before of our sausage dogs.”
“It is quite scary going in later,” Higgins said, ahead of her entry into the jungle. “They have all met and got to know each other. It’s never easy being the newbie, but I am not a shy person, so I feel like I will be fine. It will be nice to bring some energy to the camp.”
“My family are very, very excited,” she added. “They have told me to come back with a crown. How would I feel to win? It would be absolutely incredible and who doesn’t want to be the Queen of the Jungle?! But I’m definitely not going to go in with that expectation with my fears. My fears might get in the way!”
With the episode’s final throes, it announces the impending arrival of two new contestants into the jungle!
We got a brief glimpse of them too – enough to make out that it’s going to be Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles.

Safe to say he doesn’t look thrilled...
Really moving moment too as Oti tearfully talks about her brother, who died by suicide when he was 16.
“I don’t think young boys tend to talk that much and the suicide rate is so high in young men especially, so I think it’s important that you keep telling people to talk about it,” the TV star said.
Opening up about her own experience, she shared: “I had a brother who committed suicide when he was 16 and I think if he had spoken to someone about what he was feeling, it would’ve been a different turnout.”
Hailing from South Africa, Mabuse said that the situation was made more complicated by cultural expectations.
“Especially in our culture, we don’t really open up,” she said. “Every year we celebrate his birthday, but it’s the people that are still left with the aftermath that feel it every single day and you have to go out in the world and be strong and happy and bubbly and positive, but it’s tough.”

More chilling around the campfire, as chat turns again to Carol Vorderman
Tulisa getting real about her arrest, and facing years in prison after being set up by a journalist.
“2013 was the year I was set up by a British newspaper, for concern in the selling of class A drugs,” she said.
“The guy’s name was Mahmood and basically, I was approached by a big movie company and they sent me a tweet or a DM from their official account to audition me for a movie role.”
The singer, who has previously said she had never taken any drugs other than weed, provided the number of a friend who was an aspiring movie producer, hoping to “make a hook up as well for that person”.
She said, “The long story short is they ended up ordering £800’s worth of cocaine from the number that I had given them. Then before I knew it, I was being arrested in the concern of the selling of Class A drugs and I was facing four years in prison.”

When she was 26, Tulisa said she felt as though she’d clocked 60 years of life experience – a good chunk of those not positive. The highlights (or lowlights rather) being: the lurid leaking of a sex tape, a drug sting operation by a tabloid, and of course, the good old-fashioned misogyny and classism inherent to being a working-class woman in the public eye. Eating a platter of raw fisheyes? It’ll be a cakewalk in comparison.
