I'm A Celeb fans expose 'lying' Matt Hancock after telling remark to campmates

I'm A Celebrity viewers have 'exposed' MP Matt Hancock after he made a telling remark to the other campmates.

Mr Hancock was left 'nervous' as he made his arrival on I'm A Celebrity 2022 earlier this week, and while some viewers have already been won over by him, others have insisted that they can 'see right through' his 'insincere intentions'.

As he arrived into camp this week, Mr Hancock was greeted with a rather hostile energy when the other campmates, including Boy George, Jill Scott, and Charlene White were left flabbergasted seeing the former Health Secretary in the infamous jungle ensemble.

Although Mr Hancock's participation on the long-running ITV series has been a shock to many - including his fellow campmates - other viewers have 'exposed' the MP 's true intentions.

When it was first announced that the controversial politician was entering the jungle in Australia, Mr Hancock insisted that he had previously been asked on the show several times before, but declined every time because he didn't want to do it 'just for the money'.

However, after revealing his dyslexia diagnosis this year, Mr Hancock said that he felt the time was right to enter the jungle in a bid to spread awareness for the condition - with him hoping to prove to those living with it that nothing should hold them back in life.

Following his bombshell entrance into the jungle however, eagle-eyed I'm A Celebrity viewers have called out the MP for 'lying' about his intentions about joining the show.

One Twitter user fumed that Mr Hancock hadn't mentioned his dyslexia reasoning once, as they claimed that the politician had simply joined the series in a bid to make himself look better to the British public after all of his wrongdoing during and after the Covid pandemic.

" Matt Hancock was asked, on at least four different occasions during tonight’s episode, why he entered I’m A Celebrity. Not once did he mention dyslexia. It’s all a money-making vanity project," they fumed.

"This man does not give one hoot about shedding light on dyslexia. He's lying and he's there to make himself look like a good person," another added.

"Obviously, we all knew he has never going in for dyslexia awareness reasons, but I really do think it’s worth reminding people daily, as he spends his time in the jungle, still being paid to abandon his duties as an MP.

"Personally, I’d much rather see disability representation who are actually good people. He’s literally in Government, there’s so much he could do for dyslexia awareness and support from that position, and he just doesn’t. He’s no advocate," someone else raged.

Another added: "Absolutely agree, that’s the problem with telling lies - you have to remember what you said and obviously he can’t."

Elsewhere, other I'm A Celeb fans admitted that they felt sorry for Mr Hancock and insisted that the campmates could have given him a more warm welcome into camp.

I'm A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
