I'm A Celeb bosses 'sign first ever Love Island star' to appear in upcoming series

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here is set for our screens later this year and the latest group of campmates is said to include a former Love Island star for the first time in its history.

Blonde beauty Olivia Attwood is said to be heading into the Australian outback to take part in the celebrity endurance show. In doing so, she will break the previous ban on islanders entering the hit jungle-based show.

Olivia, 31, became one of the most recognisable faces from the popular dating series after her time in the Majorcan villa in series three. She was paired with Chris Hughes, 29, in the third season, but the pair's explosive coupling wasn't to be.

She has since featured on TOWIE and hosted her own documentary titled Getting Filthy Rich, which focused on the sex industry.

A source told The Sun : "This is a sign that the dating favourite is now so big and produces figures with such high profiles that they can no longer be dismissed.

“Olivia is already viewed as a rising star on ITV and this is likely to serve as a launchpad for potentially fronting more mainstream shows with the broadcaster.”

She had previously admitted she would be keen to try her luck on the show and has taken part in mock trials on the show's spin off. In it, she successfully devoured fish eyeballs and animal testicles to impress viewers.

Olivia previously said: "I'd love to do the jungle. I'd give Dancing on Ice a go, although it does scare me. I'm a bit of a baby, so I don't like getting hurt.

"I feel like the minute I fall over once, I'd be done. I know it sounds dramatic, but I'm just a bit like that. For me, the jungle is less scary. So I'd love to do the jungle."

She has been tipped to become a successful presenter as her career progresses, with many thinking she is being lined up as the next Holly Willoughby.

Away from the screen, Olivia is engaged to footballer Bradley Dack.

The Mirror has contacted ITV representatives for comment.
