'I'm 42 years old but look so young that I get ID'd trying to buy Night Nurse'

This woman really promotes the saying that 'age is just a number."

Speaking cheerily to the camera, 42-year-old Clare is the picture of good health.

So when she was asked for ID to buy Night Nurse - which you must be 16 to purchase - she wasn't upset that the staff member at Boots thought she was younger than she actually is.

Her video explaining what happened went viral - with followers shocked by her real age.

She told her TikTok followers on her account @claresmith26 : "Just been on a walk and I went via Boots because I needed to get some Night Nurse.

"Well, I got the Night Nurse and she said, ‘How old are you please?’ I went, ‘I’m 42’."

"And she said: 'Oh please just take it as a compliment - I thought you were about 18 or under, I’m so sorry’."

Clare cheekily told the shop assistant that she's "definitely quite a few years older than 18", but thanked her for the innocent remark.

"I get it all the time, all the time. But it’s a good thing I guess," she added

She then added as a video caption: "I will take it as a compliment lol."

In the comments section, many viewers were quick to agree that Clare looks younger than her 42 years.

"Bless you you're lucky to look so young," one person wrote.

While another baffled viewer commented: "Holy s*** you're 42? I thought maybe 30."

"42!! Fair one, I didn't have you down as over 33" someone else wrote.

And another agreed, writing: "42 no way! thought you were in your late twenties."

"Great compliment and she is right, you certainly don’t look your age lovely," one fan added.

Meanwhile, one woman hit back at trolls who criticised her 27-year age gap with her husband.

Mariam Trela, 26, met Grzegorz Trela, 53, when he was a professor of philosophy at the same university in Morogoro, Tanzania where she was studying education.

Starry-eyed Grzegorz, who is originally from Poland, said it was 'love at first sight' when he took Mariam out for their first date in May of 2017.

In July 2018, the loved-up couple married and later the same year welcomed their son Ignacy, three, who is often mistaken for Grzegorz's grandson.

Mariam said: "When they find out that I am his wife, on the one hand - especially men - envy him his young, attractive wife, and suspect that I'm just going after his money'.
