'I love sunbathing topless but I need 20ft fence so neighbours won't spy on me'

As temperatures continue to soar across the UK, many people will be seizing the opportunity to soak up the sunshine.

In order to avoid public areas packed with tourists, one mum has admitted that she prefers enjoying the sun rays in the comfort of her own garden.

However, she's now facing the decision of whether to erect a 20ft fence so that she can sunbathe topless in peace.

Kayleigh, a content creator, is hoping that the privacy barrier will stop drifting eyes since she's caught her neighbours spying on her in the past.

The 34-year-old has shamelessly admitted that she loves to strip down to her bare skin in order to appreciate the sunshine, but it's now becoming a privacy issue.

Kayleigh, who actively posts on Instagram and TikTok, admitted that she gets topless "quicker than you can light a BBQ".

The mum, from Dunstable, Bedfordshire, claims that she's soaking up the sunshine up to four times a week.

She told The Sun: "I see the blinds and curtains twitching and I'm sure some of the neighbours fancy me while others are appalled by me. I can feel a wandering eye coming over the fence.

"I find it a breach of privacy really. People should mind their own business and stop being on neighbourhood boob watch."

While the social media star already has a decent-sized wooden fence already built, she's convinced that she needs additional privacy to keep out prying eyes.

Kayleigh is keen to undergo the garden work this summer so that she can optimise the amazing weather and top up her tan.

"Nothing is too drastic when it comes to me being able to do some topless sunbathing without any interruptions," she admitted.

While the blaring heat may convince other people to strip down to avoid messy tanlines, they should be wary that could be breaking the law in their own private garden.

In England and Wales, it is not an offence to be naked in public, but there are caveats attached as you cannot be nude with the intention of causing "distress or alarm" - as this is an offence under Section 66 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

The Crown Prosecution Service says: "In the case of naturism a balance needs to be struck between the naturist's right to freedom of expression and the right of the wider public to be protected from harassment, alarm and distress."

While you might be on your own property, it's often fairly easy to catch a glimpse of your neighbour's garden, even if you don't intend on snooping.

This means that even though you're not necessarily naked in public, you could still cause "distress or alarm" to your neighbours - although you're only breaking the law if you "intended" to do so.
