'I love him' - Jude Bellingham responds to Harry Kane to Real Madrid transfer talk

Jude Bellingham has officially been unveiled as a new Real Madrid player. The England teenager completed a move from Borussia Dortmund earlier this week for a fee that could rise to £115million.

Bellingham has enjoyed an astronomical rise to fame having left Birmingham City at the age of 16 for a move to Dortmund. Three years later, and after some exceptional performances in the Bundesliga, which earned him a call-up to the England national side, Bellingham now has his dream move.

The 19-year-old scored his first England goal during the World Cup in 2022, and has already established himself as a mainstay of Gareth Southgate's team. He has withdrawn from the England squad to face Malta and North Macedonia due to injury and has spent the time finalising his move to Los Blancos.

Bellingham was unveiled to the media on Thursday morning, describing the transfer as moving to the "greatest" team in the world.

With Karim Benzema leaving the Santiago Bernabeu this summer for a move to Saudi Arabia, there has been a lot of talk around who could replace him in the forward line for next season.

Kylian Mbappe has been linked, as has Harry Kane - Bellingham's England captain. And when the youngster was asked about Kane joining him at Real Madrid, Bellingham had a few words to say, albeit refusing to comment on the links themselves.

He said: "He's a world class player, he's my captain for the national team and I love him as a player and a person and whatever happens there happens, but it's not really for me to comment about."
