'I lost three stone in eight weeks after looking in the mirror and deciding I had to change my lifestyle'

A woman lost three stone in just eight weeks after deciding she had to change her lifestyle. Jess Cooke went from constant snacking to a strict fitness regime and controlled diet to shift the weight in just two months.

Jess, from Liverpool, said she started eating too much while studying for her exams due to the stress. Despite having always been healthy and fit, Jess let her eating habits slip away from her in school, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The 24-year-old weighed 10 stone at her heaviest and said she knew she had to do something after looking in the mirror one day. "Going into sixth form I was just eating and I think I became lazy, then I looked in the mirror and I thought I can't look like this anymore," Jess said. "I would just snack all the time, I had something in front of my face constantly."

Jess said she would eat crisps, chocolate bars and cheese toasties "all the time". She decided to change her lifestyle and subscribed to online fitness app POW8R to help her get back on track.

Owned by couple Callum Webb and Holly Braithwaite, POW8R supports helps people in over 40 different countries to transform their bodies and change their mindsets, lifestyles, and habits to live a healthier and more balanced life.

Jess, who is now a lifeguard on the Disney Cruise line, said that after losing the three stone she has more energy, but admitted that her weight loss journey was one of the hardest things she had ever committed to.

"It was just not how I wanted to live," she explained. "I had no energy and did not feel like myself in my own skin, it was not very comfortable to live like that. I'm not going to lie it was one of the hardest things I have had to do mentally.

"I feel like you always have that kind of mental block and sometimes need that extra push. Now I'm eating 1,500 calories a day, tracking all my food, and doing five workouts a week with Callum and Holly.

“I wanted to change my whole lifestyle to be healthier and feel good in my own skin and I achieved a serious transformation in just eight weeks".
