Bruno Fernandes says he will be eagerly anticipating an assist from Jadon Sancho after the winger thanked his teammate for setting him up for Manchester United’s third goal in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Leicester.
The attacker has now scored in both of United’s last two Premier League home games having also found the net against Leeds earlier in the month. He fired home against Leicester on 61 minutes after a slick move ended with Fernandes teeing up Sancho.
Fernandes' stylish lofted ball on 25 minutes sent through Marcus Rashford, who fired home his first of the afternoon to mark his best-ever scoring season before grabbing a 24th of the campaign in the second half.

United are now five points off Premier League leaders Arsenal. After the game, Sancho made sure thanks to Fernandes for his assist, taking to social media to send him a message.
Writing on his Instagram story, the 22-year-old wrote: “I owe you an assist @brunofernandes8”. In typical fashion, Fernandes replied to the comment on his own story, saying: “I will be waiting for that”, with eyes and laughing-face emojis.
Sancho now has five goals for the season while Fernandes has reached double figures for assists, his tally standing at 10 across all competitions. Five of his six Premier League assists have come after the World Cup, where he recorded two goals and three assists as Portugal reached the quarter-finals.
