Bruno Guimaraes says he wants to be "a legend" at Newcastle United after scoring the winning goal against Leicester City today.
The Brazil international hauled his team back into the game at 1-0 down with an equaliser after hooking the ball underneath Kasper Schmeichel at the Leazes End.
But he waited until the 95th minute for a masterclass in injury time finishing with a diving header to raise the roof at the Gallowgate End.
Afterwards, Bruno told Chronicle Live: "It was incredible for me and the team. We deserved it so it was incredible to score like that, it was my first goals here, I don't have the words really! It was just really special."
Bruno converted after great work from Matt Targett and then a bustling run from Joe Willock. It was Willock's cross which picked out Bruno before he crashed the header home.
When asked about the celebrations, Bruno said: "It was just crazy. I don't remember it so well but I just know Joe Willock made a good play.
"When I took the ball on I caught it with my head, it was my first header for the club. When I get to my house I will look back again and watch it over again. I really need another view."
When asked about his equaliser, Bruno added: "I haven't seen it again. I just saw the ball on the pitch, it was loose. I didn't need to think twice what we needed. It was a beautiful goal to me as well."
Speaking about his long-term dreams on Tyneside, he added: "I just want to be a legend here."
