Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley.
The 30-year-old will spend the remainder of the season at Old Trafford, following the termination of his original season-long loan at Besiktas. United have paid around £2.5million compensation to the Turkish side.
Weghorst spent the second-half of last season in the Premier League with Burnley, his two goals in 20 appearances not enough to keep the Clarets in the top-flight. But an impressive, if limited, spell representing the Netherlands at the World Cup and eight goals in his last 16 club matches has caught the eye or Erik Ten Hag.
