I have never paid full price for a sofa – these are the best deals I have found this year from Homes & Gardens' favorite brands

Image of three sofas.

A sofa is an investment, but it's an investment always worth making since we ask so much of these staple pieces. They see a lot of wear and tear over their lifetime, and I know many people say 'the kitchen is the heart of the home' but over at my place (and I bet yours too) it's actually the couch that's the star.

And I will say it now, I have had a fair few couches in my lifetime so far, and not one of them have I paid full price for. Sofa sales are always going on, there's always a deal to be found.

But with so many furniture sales out there happening all year round, it can be tricky to get through them all. That's where I come in, I've been through all the best brands and the best sales to find the best sofas. You can go straight over to your favorite brands below or keep scrolling for my top picks to suit all styles.

FAQs

Are the sales a good time to buy a sofa?

Absolutely. There are hundreds of sales happening right now, pop onto your favorite stores and I bet there will be some kind of offer if you search hard enough. A sofa is a big piece to buy and even in the sales, they are still an investment so it's a no-brainer to shop these more spendy items over events like July 4th sales, Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday.

How much should you spend on a sofa?

This totally depends on your personal budget, your style, and how long you want the sofa to last. Especially around sales time, you could bag a sofa for around $200, but it probably won't be the best quality and unlikely to be long-lasting. And at the other end of the budget scale, sofas can go up to $10,000s. I would just do your research and set a realistic budget for what you are after.
