An admitted philanderer has explained that he decided to marry and live with four wives in a bid to combat his wandering eye.
From a very early age, self-confessed serial cheater Jerome - who will soon be welcoming his fifth wife to the family home - realised that he found it difficult to remain faithful, and felt as though one woman alone just wouldn't be enough for him.
As a result, he'd end up hurting the girls he dated, dating "multiple partners", and steadily making his way through several, very short-lived relationships.
As an adult, Jerome has found happiness through polyamory - the practice of having multiple romantic partners will full consent from all involved - and says there are various benefits to having four wives and counting.
Opening up about his way of life on Truly TV series, Love Don't Judge, Jerome reflected on his complicated love life before deciding to become poly.
Jerome, from Springville, Alabama, admitted: "I felt like I was in the health department every weekend. I had multiple partners. I never felt like one female could amount to everything that I wanted."
Five years ago, however, Jerome finally met the partner he wanted to marry ‘Big Jasmine’, a woman he praises for being able to cook, clean, and being "there sex-wise".
Things were a little complicated when the lovebirds first locked eyes, however, as Jerome was already in a relationship with somebody else. Then, after he won Jasmine over, he ended up cheating on her.
The couple managed to reconcile and eventually marry, deciding that a closed polyamory dynamic would be the best way forward for them.
This understanding worked equally well for Jasmine, who felt as though a non-monogamous relationship would better suit her own needs as a bisexual woman.
Jasmine revealed: "The Christian family that I come from, I never had the courage to step out on what I really wanted to do or desire. So with him, I was more comfortable to do things that I wanted."
Jerome and Jasmine have a policy that the next partner to enter into their relationship should be chosen by the woman, not by Jerome.
Second wife Deja was introduced into their lives by Jasmine. Shortly after she moved in, Deja introduced Baby Jasmin to the relationship, which soon expanded with the introduction of 'T', Jerome's ex-girlfriend.
T first became part of the group as their makeup artist but was soon drawn in by their alternative living arrangement. The group is now preparing to welcome its fifth wife, Katara.
According to Jasmine: "We don't have a maximum limit of people in a relationship. We'll always have that safe space to add".
Although they've received some backlash, the group doesn't let critical comments get to them, knowing that their way of life works for them.
Jasmine said: "He gets a lot of, 'well he's manipulating them'. 'He's controlling them'. [...]Poly is great, you have a lot of help around the house.
"So one person might be cleaning the kitchen, one person might be cooking, one person might be doing the kids' hair."
Jerome added: "We can all grow, we can grow within each other. We can gain more, we can prosper more within life."
