A man who had to endure a month-long sex ban following a hair transplant has had to shy away from dating for a second time after his barber gave him a ' Jedward ' haircut.
Cathair Curran, known as Kegs, 25, from County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, had the hair transplant operation in February after years of using products to disguise his hairline and was given some strict instructions on what to avoid after the treatment to avoid ruining his new look. The 25-year-old was banned from vigorous exercise, sweating and even sex while his hair recovered from the treatment and to make sure the grafts implanted.
Following the transplant, Cathair was enjoying getting back on the dating scene as he admitted it has not always been easy.
He said: "The results are incredible. I'm buzzing with them. I had a hair transplant at the start of February. I had 30 days where I wasn't allowed to sweat, exercise, have sex or drink alcohol. I went to Bali and took it easy.
"For three to five months the hair looked horrible. All the transplanted hair falls out and it looks really bad. It really affected my confidence.
"Not only was it a hair transplant journey, it was a mental health journey. It made me do work on myself as I had to detach from associating my self-worth with looks.
"Then I started seeing a bit of growth and results. At month six, I had my first haircut and the results were incredible."
But the social media content creator has had another blow in recent weeks following a haircut he received in Goa, India, where he has been travelling.
In a video shared online, the social media user took people through his haircut which made him look like the iconic XFactor duo 'Jedward' and he even started to model the quiff of the Irish singing twins.
Kegs explained: "I was in India and the downside with travelling is you have to go to a new barber every time. Going to a new barber can be a bit scary, especially when they don't speak English. You don't know what you'll end up with.
"I ended up going to this guy and he styled my hair. I laughed because as soon as I looked in the mirror I thought 'this is a Jedward haircut'. I thought it was funny and the first thing I thought of was Jedward."
The clip has now racked up more than 28,000 views as people cannot get enough of the style and Kegs has admitted that he gets the occasional odd glance on his travels as people think he has modelled himself on 'Jedward.'
However, as he is travelling Kegs suggested he is not so fussed about what his hair looks like and is much happier with how his hair feels and is happy to be feeling more confident in himself.
He explained: "I've had over 1,000
"They thanked me for putting myself out there and changing the perception of it.
"If anyone is interested in hair transplants, they can drop me a message and I'll be able to help them."
