'I got a tattoo of my own name - people call it weird but it has sentimental meaning'

When people choose to get a name tattooed on their skin, it's often that of a partner or family member. It's a big decision, and often causes controversy as others argue that the person may come to regret their decision - but one woman has left people completely baffled as she chose to get her own name inked.

Despite people's initial disbelief over the tattoo choice, the woman has explained the reason behind her ink and it's really heartwarming.

Talia Jackson, who plays Jade on Netflix's 'Family Reunion', posted on her TikTok account @taliajackson explaining the answer to a question she gets asked a lot: "Why do you have a tattoo of your own name? That's kinda weird."

Talia said that some people referred to her tattoo as 'weird'... (@taliajackso / tik tok)

She then proceeded to explain the reason why she chose to get the ink on her arm.

Talia then wrote: "Because he wrote it", and shared a text message exchange she'd had with 'Cooper's manager', showing an image of her name written down.

Over the top of the screenshot, Talia can be seen getting emotional as Cooper was one of her best friends and he sadly died earlier this year.

The video is captioned: "I will miss him forever."

People flocked to the comments to offer their support to Talia, with hundreds of comments saying they were sorry for her loss.

One wrote: "Nothing weird about it", referring to the sweet tattoo tribute.

Another said: "He's watching over you every day angel", with someone adding: "Talia you are so very strong. I think you and your mother are literal heaven-sent angels, and I’m so glad he had you both."

Other TikTokers related to her current situation, with one writing: "I am so sorry, I lost my best friend one year ago so (not trying to make this about me) sending you love."

"This is so cute", someone gushed.

"He's watching over you", another reassured her.
