I've always found it tremendously difficult to find a pair of jeans that not only do I feel good in, but comfortable in too.
Being 5'3 and curvy means that finding a pair of jeans that flatters me can be a real challenge. It usually involves me asking my mum to turn up any trousers I own to make them shorter, which is a real chore in itself.
As someone that was a bit of a jeans hater, I basically came to the conclusion that I would never be able to find a pair that flattered me and felt comfortable. That was until I visited a John Lewis personal styling appointment and I found the most beautiful pair of jeans.

I was after some jeans that I could wear for casual and formal occasions with a nice pair of heels. I opted for blue because I only own one pair of blue 'mom' jeans that are a little too baggy for me.
After trying on countless different pairs of jeans during my appointment, I finally came across a shape that completely flattered my figure and actually felt comfortable. Say hello to the Levi's 'Ribcage' jean - my new favourite item of clothing.
Described as a pair of jeans that will 'hug and flatter' your figure, I knew that a pair of jeans with a high waist would suit me the most. The jeans are cut from stretchy denim and aim to provide a 'sleek base for any outfit' according to the product description on the Levi's website.
They certainly do create a 'sleek base' that looks effortlessly cool with anything, in my opinion at least. I think what really drew me to these jeans were the flared bottoms and the deep classic Levi's blue shade.
Granted, these jeans aren't cheap priced at £110 on the Levi's website and in John Lewis, but I knew that I was going to get so much wear out of these jeans that I didn't mind. I've spent so much money on jeans in the past that either end up shrinking, feeling uncomfortable or not looking great, so I was so happy when I tried these on.
As soon as I slipped into these jeans I could tell that the quality was second to none, with a really thick denim that was stretchy yet soft on the inside of the jean. I've already worn mine casually and on dressier occasions and felt amazing each time.
