'I filled a Christmas stocking at B&M for £15 with adorable gonk gifts and more'

There's just a fortnight to go until Christmas and many parents will be thinking about those all-important stockings.

When you've already splashed out on presents, there can often be little spare for the stocking fillers, but they don't have to cost a fortune.

We've been taking a look at some of the gifts in budget store B&M, where we got some adorable gifts - and managed to fill a stocking, by spending little more than £15 - £15.48 to be exact.

The treats included some gonk gifts, which are particularly popular this year - a 3D gonk mug for £3.50 and a gonk hottie, for £5.

While the mug can be used for one of the other gifts, the £1 hot chocolate bombe, the hottie is also pretty useful at this time of year as it contains a removable bag that you put in the microwave to heat up before putting back inside the teddy.

There's also the cutest little gingerbread house, also £1, a Millions Machine for £2.99, which includes three mini bags of the sweets, and finally a giant Rainbow Sprinkles bath fizzer for £1.99.

Here's the full list of stocking surprises

  • 3D gonk mug £3.50
  • gonk hottie £5
  • Snowman hot chocolate bombe £1
  • Mini gingerbread house £1
  • Millions Machine £2.99
  • Rainbow Sprinkles bath fizzer £1.99

Total £15.48

There were lots more gifts in store that I could have picked - such as these alphabet mugs costing £3.50 each, and Tatty Teddy hot chocolate and marshmallow melt sets.

The amount doesn't include the cost of the stocking itself, as most people reuse the same one each year, but if you did want B&M's reindeer one, it would cost you an extra £4. They do the same one with a Santa face on it too.

All in all it's not a bad haul and I don't think any child would be disappointed with that little lot.

We've previously filled stockings at Primark and Home Bargains too, with both coming in under £15.
