As a woman, here's probably nothing more terrifying than the prospect of discovering you're expecting a baby really late into the pregnancy - but to go through all of that at the age of 16 is just a whole different ball game.
That's exactly what happened to mum-of-two Elle Woods, who discovered she was seven months pregnant with her daughter during a routine trip to see her nutritionist.
The then-teen was so terrified she didn't tell anyone, until she woke up in agonising pain at 4am one morning and was forced to tell her dad - who delivered the baby 20 minutes later.
In a series of clips on TikTok, posted from her handle @therealelwoods, Elle told her followers: "I found out through my nutritionist - not my GP - and I just didn't tell anyone I was pregnant."
Just a few weeks later, the teen woke up in the early hours in a lot of pain and asked her dad to get her some painkillers - but she quickly realised she was already in labour, and all of a sudden "half of the baby's head [was] already out".
Rising to the occasion, Elle's shocked dad quickly phoned emergency services, but with the nearest hospital a 40-minute drive away, operators told him he'd have to deliver the baby himself.
"[He] moved me to the en-suite as that was the largest tiled area and they put down a whole heap of towels," she explained in a follow up clip.
"My uncle - my dad's brother - was living with us and he was in charge of keeping my sister with Down's Syndrome occupied with other things so she didn't know what was going on. Dad said it was quite quick. I've had a second child since and I laboured really quick with him as well."
Elle continued: "When the ambulance came [15 minutes later], they packed me up and took me to hospital. I don't remember a lot because I did go into shock and I lost a whole lot of blood."
Fortunately, both Elle and her daughter - who is now 13 years old - were both fine, and the girl's grandfather decided he would become a full-time granddad so his daughter could go back to school while he took care of the baby.
Elle's daughter - Belle - is now the best of friends with her granddad, and she has since welcomed a second child with her husband.
