Jon Bon Jovi has reacted to his son Jake Bongiovi, 20, getting engaged to Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown who is 19.
The Living On A Prayer rocker addressed concerns from fans that the pair is too young to tie the knot during a Tuesday appearance on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy.
The star told host Andy Cohen that he supported the union.
“I don’t know if age matters,” he said.
“If you find the right partner and you grow together, I think that would be my advice, really because growing together is wise.
“All of my kids have found the people they think they can grow together with, and we like them all,” added the singer who also shares children, Stephanie, 29, Jesse, 28, and Romeo, 19, with his high school sweetheart wife of 34 years, Dorothea Hurley.
Brown and Jake announced their engagement on Instagram on April 11.
The actress posted a black-and-white photo of the pair together and flashed her engagement ring.
She captioned the post with the Taylor Swift lyrics, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”
She was inundated with messages from a slew of famous friends, including Ashley Tisdale, Paris Hilton, and co-star Noah Schnapp.
However, there were some fans who commented on the pair being too young to wed and predicting that it would end in tears.
Brown also sparked rumours in August last year when she was seen wearing a gold diamond ring on her wedding finger.
The star rose to fame as Eleven in the 1980s-set science-fiction series Stranger Things on Netflix and has gone on to play Enola Holmes in the streaming giant’s film of the same name and its sequel.
