'I don't have any fears' - Pat Nevin backs Leeds United despite worrying Premier League form

Former Chelsea and Everton winger Pat Nevin has backed Leeds United to get back on track despite their worrying turn of form in the Premier League.

The Whites fell 1-0 to Arsenal at Elland Road on Sunday in a game that they probably should have gotten something from.

Had Patrick Bamford not fired his penalty wide at 1-0 down, it would have been an entirely different game.

The result means Leeds have not won a Premier League game since August 21, when they dispatched Chelsea 3-0. Since then, the Whites have lost to Brighton, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Arsenal, as well as drawing with Aston Villa and Everton.

While there have been positives during those games for Leeds, their points total of nine does not reflect that. But despite this, Nevin believes Leeds will be fine this season, with the club heading in the right direction under Marsch's guiding hand.

"I don't have any fears for Leeds United for this season," Nevin told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"I know they're down a little bit lower that they'd like to be just now. But the way they're playing, the attitude that they've got.

"You talk about an ethos of a club like Arsenal have got, well I think Marsch is doing exactly the same thing at Leeds United, trying to get an ethos here. I quite like the look of it, even if the results haven't been as good as they'd want."
