‘I ditched my Sainsbury's job to become an adult film star – now I’m sick of sex’

A woman who ditched her job as a Sainsbury's cheese deli worker to become a porn star has opened up about the hazards of having so much sex as part of her job.

Jess West, from Essex swapped her Sainsbury's job for porn some 15 years ago and now finds it tricky to get in the mood when it comes to non-professional sex.

The 35-year-old met her partner Demetri, 50, on set back in 2014, with the pair filming X-rated scenes together almost every day. Unfortunately, the amount of sex their jobs entail has taken its toll.

The loved-up couple has had to seek outside assistance to inject a bit of spark back into their off-camera bedroom, through what's known as a 'unicorn'.

A unicorn refers to a single girl who joins couples for sex to help reinvigorate their passion, with Jess and Demetri having found this to be a great way to spice things up between the sheets.

The pair rotate a handful of young women throughout the course of the year to spice things up.

Jess, who says that she wouldn't have sex with anyone else, outside of a work context without Demetri, has explained there's a huge difference between porn sex and at-home sex.

She continued: "You have that separation that work is work. Sex on camera is nothing like it is at home. At work you are conscious of where the cameras are, opening up for the lighting and doing the best positions for the viewer.

"It's positions you would not normally do. You're doing positions for camera not for yourself. It's often very uncomfortable physically demanding and a far cry from the joys of home sex in your bedroom with the lights off with no one watching.

"Also sex on camera when filming can take a few hours whereas sex at home can be as long or short as we like. It's not so much we're tired of sex because of what we do. But it’s harder to get into the mood for sex."

Demitri says his libido is 'definitely affected' by his work (Jam Press/Jess West)

According to Jess, it was shewho first suggested the idea of introducing a unicorn, as 'a good way to spice it up and have a bit of fun.'

Jess said: "It's been great. I think because of the job we do I found I was very comfortable with having sex with other women with my man.

"A unicorn symbolises divine love, grace beauty, and purity and we all have to be on the same page. There's no jealousy. It's just enjoying each other and then after we have all had are fun everything stays the same."

Demitri added: "When people watch porn there's a misconception on how long sex should be. Sex on camera is a fantasy. The scene people might be watching could be going on for two minutes but to get that two minutes will require 40 minutes of work.

"My money shot is visible, that doesn't feel the same. Forced ejaculation is completely different from when I'm making love to my wife. My libido is definitely affected. It's not the same excitement I used to get."
