Beauty buffs have been blown away by a budget £13 Boots mascara, and say they've 'never had so many compliments' since trying it. A nurse who tried the mascara found herself impressed when the £13 mascara lasted through her 12-hour nursing shifts 'without smudging or flaking'.
Max Factor’s Masterpiece 2 In 1 Lash WOW mascara, which promises both volume and length. Costing £12.99, the mascara gives shoppers an 'instant false lash effect,' and features a unique twistable brush which allows you to customise your desired finish.
One side of the brush can be used to separate and lengthen lashes, while the other side helps to lift and add dramatic volume. As well as not needing to mix two different mascaras for the desired effect, it will also save customers hundreds of pounds on eyelash extensions - not to mention it’s much better for your lashes.

The smooth, flake-free and vegan formula has been said to deliver long-lasting definition without smudging or clumping - keeping your lashes in place all day and night long. The mascara has been going viral on TikTok, with one video racking up 652,000 views, over 49,000 likes with hundreds of comments, with one follower saying ‘this is the best mascara I’ve ever seen’ while another said ‘omg need this right now.’
The video posted by @helinndoski, Helin describes how to use the mascara before trying out both the lengthening and volume side on herself. Even she was impressed with the results, saying the difference in her lashes ‘speak for themselves’.
The budget Boots mascara has already received plenty of glowing reviews online. Beauty buffs are calling it 'very impressive' and 'long-lasting.'
One delighted shopper said: "I have been using this mascara for 2 weeks and I am really impressed with the look that it achieves and the longevity of the product. It is really long lasting, and easily lasted a sweaty 12 hour nursing shift, with no smudging or flaking. I love the twist-top concept, which changes the density of the brush depending on which type of look you need, thickness or length. This is the first mascara that I have seen to do this"
While a second customer added: "I have naturally short, straight lashes and I’m allergic to any lash serum that helps them grow so I heavily rely on mascara! This has been great lifting my lashes and giving them a bit of extra length and curl."
Somebody else wrote: "I love love love this! I use daily and my eyelashes have never had so many compliments! I love the 2 in 1 feature of this product as makes the length and volume stand out more than normal!"
"The first thing I noticed was the thin long wand. It prevents clumping and is really good at separating my eye lashes with no flakes. It’s like a comb for lashes. However, some found it ‘takes a lot of effort to put on’ and ‘Isn't thick or dark enough', , the Mirror reports.
The innovative product is one of the first of its kind, with other 2-in-1 mascaras working in slightly different ways. For example the Rimmel Glameyes mascara has two sections which controls how much mascara is on the wand, but doesn’t actually change the shape of the applicator.
