Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson isn’t holding back. In a recent interview with Page Six Radio, the 19-year-old reality TV star revealed that she and her mother, June “Mama June” Shannon, were approached to appear on the reality competition show House of Villains.
However, after participating in a Zoom interview, the show’s producers abruptly “ghosted” them. Thompson expressed her confusion over the situation, stating, “I ain’t sign no contract so I can say whatever I want!”
Speaking with Page Six Radio, Thompson added, “House of Villains reached out to me and they wanted me to be on it,” she alleged. “And I had an interview with them — never heard anything back. So…”

Having grown up in the spotlight through shows like Toddlers & Tiaras and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Thompson has faced numerous challenges, including financial disputes and family turmoil. Notably, she has claimed that she never received any of the earnings from her early television appearances, alleging that her mother mismanaged the funds.
Mama June admitted to withdrawing $35,000 from Thompson’s Coogan account, a trust legally required for child performers, though she later returned the money. Despite this, Thompson reported that only $10,000 remained in her account after years of work.
Mama June’s refusal to assist with Thompson’s college expenses compounded the financial strain. Currently a nursing student at Regis University in Colorado, Thompson has had to rely on scholarships and her sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird’s support.

Moreover, her relationship with Mama June has seen moments of reconciliation. The duo appeared together on The Masked Singer in 2021 as the “Beachball,” performing Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the U.S.A.” Mama June described the performance as a significant milestone in her sobriety journey.
