Now, if you’ve been reading my articles for quite a while, you’ll know I love nothing more than treating you all to a good Aldi bargain - especially when it comes from their SpecialBuys section.
Having recently moved homes, I was in the market for a black grid mirror after spotting the trend all over Instagram. But of course, being the bargain hunter I am, I didn’t want to blow my whole budget on just one accessory.
With this being said, after scouring the internet, I was delighted to discover Aldi’s Kirkon House Black Grid Mirror for just £119.99 - much cheaper than the other alternatives which were coming up.
As it was a SpecialBuy, I knew it wouldn’t be around for much longer, so I instantly added it to my basket and hit the checkout button.
Sadly, as the mirror was a SpecialBuy, it’s currently out of stock, but seeing as it’s been restocked in the past it's best to keep an eye out.
Fear not though, as I've spotted a smaller version of the Kirkton Black Grid Mirror for you and it’s just £49.99. I've also added some affordable alternatives below so you can get the look for less.
Now, I can’t lie, I was a little sceptical about ordering such a large piece of furniture from the budget supermarket, but after reading the five-star reviews it filled me with a bit more confidence.
As the mirror was an extra large item, I had to fork out an extra £9.95 for delivery, bringing the total to £129.94 - but considering the lead time was 2-7 working days, I didn’t mind spending a bit extra on it (not to mention I was pretty obsessed with it).
The mirror arrived quickly and extremely well packaged - trust me, that thing wasn’t smashing even if it was dropped. One thing to note was the weight of the mirror which I did read about in a review online before purchasing the item.
Let’s just say it’s definitely a two or even three-person job, depending on your strength (mine being very weak).
Once the mirror was finally out, I couldn’t believe how incredible the quality was and it looked so much more expensive than it was.
We decided to mount the mirror to the wall (as seen in the picture) which was a pretty tricky task considering the weight of it, but nevertheless we got it done and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. If you don't want to wall mount your mirror, I'd suggest leaning it on the wall with some command strips to avoid damaging your paint.
My final verdict... I'd give this beauty a strong 4 out of 5. I'm seriously impressed with the quality and look of the mirror as well as the fast delivery and would 100% recommend, however it's lost a point for the weight (or maybe I just need to get back to the gym).
