'I asked boyfriend for Dyson hairdryer for Christmas - he got it very, very wrong'

Ever since the lovely people at Dyson turned their hands to inventing hair care products, the range has been top of our Christmas lists. Hundreds of lucky people unwrapped the hairdryers and AirWraps on December 25 - but not Grace Martinez.

She asked her boyfriend for one of the company's very expensive Dyson items, but he got a tad confused and ended up buying her something that was TECHNICALLY correct, but at the same time very, very wrong.

While Grace was far from impressed, other people saw the funny side of it and others said it could have been a blessing in disguise.

She explained the misunderstanding on TikTok in a video that's now been viewed more than 2.6 million times.

"This is what I asked my boyfriend for Christmas," she added beside a photo of the hairdryer.

But she then reveals he picked another item from the Dyson range - one of their equally popular vacuum cleaners.

Showing a photo of her new vacuum and the different compartments, she wrote: "This is what I got."

Captioning the post, Grace was keen to make light of the situation as she joked: "I forgot to specify, at least my floors are spotless, right?"

Flocking to the comment section of the viral post, TikToker users put Grace's thoughts at ease by revealing that the vacuum was a better gift than what she originally asked for.

"Girl this is my dream vacuum," one person gushed. "I barely use my Dyson hair thing but I loooove my very old Dyson vacuum sm."

A second wrote: "I have both the airwrap and the vacuum. Trust me, the vacuum will eventually make you happier."

A third joked: "I guess you asked for a Dyson lol he delivered."

"You asked for the one with all the attachments, right?" A fourth penned. "I mean he gave it."

"You actually got something better. That's a win," a fifth said.
