We have seen actress Sneha Raikar in Hindi shows like Thoda Sa Badal Thoda Sa Pani and Naagin 6. Apart from this, she has been a part
of various Marathi projects. Not many people however know that before getting into acting, she had worked in the hospitality industry.
Talking about this, Sneha says, “After I completed my graduation in Home Science, I took up a job as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a popular hotel in Mumbai. I worked there for a few months and then switched to a different company due to the shift timings. That's where I met my husband Sandeep Raikar and fell in love with him. After reaching a point, I decided to quit my job and take a break
from work.” The break lasted for six years and Sneha began to miss facing the camera. "After a six-year break, with the hope of starting afresh, I began giving auditions for TV shows. Thankfully, I got work in the industry. The first big break I got was my Marathi show Varcha Class in 2009.” Later, she went on to do Marathi shows like Olakh, Ajunahi Chandrat aahe, Love Lagna locha, Jeevlaga, He Mann Bavare and many more. The actress has also been seen in Marathi films, which include Dhudgus, Luckdown, June, What’s up Lagna, Irada Pakka, Guru and many more. She was also seen in the Hindi film Kuttey.
The actress says she is satisfied with the way her career has shaped up. “The road to the destination was not easy but what kept me going was patience and hard work. I am glad that I left my job and came into this profession. Today, I can’t imagine myself without acting as it has become an integral part of me,” she signs off.
