Need double-engine governments without BJP, says K Chandrasekhar Rao

HYDERABAD: In his ever counter to BJP since Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting in the city, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao called on the people of the country on Sunday to vote out the BJP government at the Centre.

He said there is need for double engine government without BJP government at Centre and State.

Calling Modi the weakest PM ever, the chief minister said Modi cannot avoid the questions posed by him. TRS will undoubtedly transform into a national party, he said.

CM began his fiery speech by comparing the BJP-led central government to a leech feeding on the blood of the people. “The country has landed in a dangerous situation in the eight years of the Modi government, where the value of rupee has collapsed like never before, investments are being withdrawn by large corporations, and inflation is very high. Yet he has not answered any of my questions posed to him on behalf of the people of the country.”

“Modi should answer to the people of the country why the promised black money is not coming back, and why NPAs have crossed 12 lakh crore mark from 4 lakh crore. The central government is a hallow government, indulging in scams and corruption.”

KCR said the the country’s image was at stake as Modi forced the Sri Lankan government to award contracts to some of his close associates. “Because of this, people in that country are protesting against him. Despite warnings from experts to not take any risks along China’s borders, he has not paid head.” The CM said the Agnipath scheme is a disaster.

He slammed BJP leaders for claiming that ‘Eknath Shindes’ would be prepared in Tamil Nadu and Telangana. “I am an elected government with more than three-thirds majority. Is this what BJP wants to do in every state, threatening chief ministers and politicians?” he said. They are threatening companies with ED investigations and awarding contacts to people of their choice. Is this not corruption?” he inquired.

He alleged that there is an unofficial state of emergency in the country and that when the right questions are asked, the BJP rakes up religious sentiments.

“Their spokesmen’s remarks have been responsible for India’s international shame, and judges are being trolled for saying sensible things. I appeal to the country’s legal system to save the country,” he said.He described recent NEC meetings as “colourless and devoid of substance”.
