(Picture: Met Police)Two teenagers have been found guilty of murdering a man in a high street attack that sent Christmas shoppers running for cover.
Hussain Al-Saabri, 23, was found critically injured after a frenzied stabbing in St Ann’s Road, Harrow.
A post-mortem examination found his cause of death to have been a stab wound to the abdomen.
Shoppers battled in vain to save the former Harrow College student’s life.
A resident whose flat overlooks the scene in Harrow said “all hell broke loose” as the area became a “war zone”.
Two other teenagers– a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old – believed to be Hussain’s friends also suffered stab injuries in the ambush. Both were discharged following treatment.
DCI Claire Hine, Specialist Crime Command [Homicide], said: “The level of violence used against all three victims was savage, and tragically it cost Hussain his life. Above all today, my thoughts are with his family and friends.
“Williams and Menzie-Samuels will rightly have a long time in prison to reflect on their life choices and the sickening level of violence they used against Hussain and the two teenagers. Their actions were as cowardly and pathetic as they were inexcusably violent.”
At the Old Bailey, Rickarlo Williams was found guilty of the murder of Hussein Al-Sabbri; one count of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was found not guilty of one count of attempted murder.
Jahni Menzie-Samuels was found guilty of the murder of Hussein Al-Sabbri; one count of attempted murder; grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was found not guilty of one count of attempted murder.
Karlene Joseph, 43 of Daintry Close, Harrow was found guilty of perverting the course of justice.
All three will be sentenced at the Old Bailey on May 27.
