Forecasters predict that Milton will maintain its hurricane strength as it moves across central Florida until Thursday morning. This storm is the fifth hurricane to hit the United States this year, following hurricanes Beryl, Debby, Francine, and Helene, which ranged from Category 1 to Category 4 in strength.
