Hurricane Milton Makes Landfall In Siesta Key, Florida

Recently, Hurricane Milton struck near Siesta Key, Florida, as a powerful Category 3 storm with sustained winds of 120 mph and even higher gusts, as reported by the National Hurricane Center. The impact of this hurricane is expected to bring about life-threatening storm surge, flooding rainfall, and destructive winds in areas both close to and far from where it made landfall.

Forecasters predict that Milton will maintain its hurricane strength as it moves across central Florida until Thursday morning. This storm is the fifth hurricane to hit the United States this year, following hurricanes Beryl, Debby, Francine, and Helene, which ranged from Category 1 to Category 4 in strength.
