Hurricane Helene Becomes Second-Deadliest Storm In 50 Years

As Hurricane Helene continues to wreak havoc across the US mainland, the death toll has tragically climbed to 160, making it the second-deadliest hurricane to strike the country in the past five decades. The deadliest hurricane in recent history remains Hurricane Katrina in 2005, which claimed the lives of at least 1,833 individuals.
