Among them were First Lady Jill Biden, Hunter Biden's wife, and her daughter Ashley Biden. The presence of so many family members made it a tight squeeze, with even the Secret Service agent struggling to find space at the end of the bench. The first three rows of the court were also occupied by Hunter Biden's friends and family.

During the proceedings, there was a moment of intrigue when a sidebar discussion lasted 45 minutes, leaving reporters eager to catch a glimpse of what defense attorney Abbe Lowell was passionately discussing with the judge and prosecutors.
