During the cross-examination in Hunter Biden's trial, his defense attorney Abbe Lowell questioned the gun store employee, Gordon Cleveland, about the circumstances of Hunter's visit to the store in 2018. Lowell asked Cleveland if he saw Hunter arrive at the store through the wall, to which Cleveland responded that he eventually saw Hunter's car through the store window.

In his opening statements, Lowell had claimed that Hunter was in the area solely to purchase a new phone. However, Cleveland's testimony revealed that Hunter had pulled into the gun shop's parking lot from the direction of an AT&T store located across the street.
