Former Hunted star Michelle McLachlan has revealed she's 'lucky to be alive,' after being involved in a horrifying hit and run accident, days before the new series starts.
Since it made its debut in 2015, the Channel 4 show has proved to be highly gripping TV as members of the public go on the run as 'fugitives' to escape the clutches of a band of Hunters, who are hot on their tail from the get-go, tracking bank cards, phone numbers, CCTV and anything else they can get their hands on to track them down before they have the chance to win a share of a big money prize in the thrilling finale.
As well as Brits from all walks of life and occupations taking part in Hunted, the show has also sparked a number of celebrity spin-offs in aid of Stand Up For Cancer. The last one of those aired earlier this year with stars including Drag Race UK champion The Vivienne, So Solid Crew's Lisa Maffia and Olympic runner Iwan Thomas trying to evade capture.

While Hunted HQ is at the centre of the attempts to track the fugitives down in is the show's ground runners who do all the leg work and Michelle is among the hunters who've proved be a force to be reckoned with over the past few series. However, ahead of the new series making its debut on Sunday, May 22, MIchelle, shared the news online she'd been the victim of a hit and run, which had left her with serious injuries.
Taking to Twitter, Michelle , who stepped down from the show in 2020, first hinted that something wasn't quite right, when she uploaded a photo of lots of medication, writing: "Well I never thought I'd be filling pill boxes like my gran, but I'm lucky to be alive and so glad to be home with my beautiful and my dogs. And a day later, Michelle offered an alarming explanation, when she wrote: "...for those asking what happened for me to be on so much medication, I was involved in a hit and run on the 6th May. So 2 breaks to my pelvis at the front, 1 cracked vertebrae, tear to my gall bladder (will be removed and severe organ bruising, 22 staples in my head."
Hunted's deputy chief, Marc Canaur, replied underneath: "Michelle so sorry to hear this terrible news and so relieved you are here to tell the tale, while a former Hunted fugitive commented: "Michelle so sorry to hear this. My best wishes and prayers for your full recovery."
