The hunt is on for a crook who broke into an East Kilbride snack van and stole a cash box.
The rotten thief is even thought to have stolen staff tips.
CCTV footage of the break-in at Lesleyanne’s Snack Van circulated social media last night, with locals determined to ID the “scumbag”.
And the chances are good, with the bungling burglar failing to hide his face to cameras.
Video footage and stills of the break-in clearly show the man’s face.
Posting about the theft on social media, Lesleyanne wrote: “Please share; the van was broken into tonight.
“Clear photos and videos attached, anyone recognise him please get in touch with us or the police.”
Customers and locals expressed their outrage and support for the small business after the appeal was posted on Facebook last night.
One customer wrote: "That's shocking, best snack van in EK.
"What a shame for Lesleyanne and the girls -. seems they know where too find things, looks to me like it's been a customer."
Another wrote: "This is awful - what is wrong with people these days?
"Breaking into other people's property and business. You can see his face clear as day, hope they get caught. Just awful."
Others simply branded the crook a "scumbag".
Lanarkshire Live contacted the snack van for comment, but a staff member told us how badly the theft had impacted the owner, who had been left distraught.
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact police on 101.
