The driver of a BMW is currently wanted after a crash in Southport
Merseyside Police confirmed that officers and emergency services rushed to the scene of a crash at the junction of Cemetery Road and Portland Street in Southport at around 8.45pm on New Year's Eve.
The crash involved a BMW and a Kia Sportage, with the people in the BMW reportedly abandoning the car.

No one was injured in the crash and enquiries are currently ongoing to locate those involved. A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information following a fail to stop collision in Southport on New Years Eve, Saturday 31 December 2022.
"At around 8.45pm, emergency services were called to the junction of Portland Street and Cemetery Road to reports of a collision involving a BMW and Kia Sportage. The occupants of the BMW reportedly abandoned the vehicle and enquiries are ongoing to locate them. Nobody was injured."
