After six years in charge, Hungary gaffer Marco Rossi knows his team inside out and their box midfield, featuring Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai and Roland Sallai of Freiburg in advanced roles, is a real strength. Late-blooming striker Barnabas Varga scored 20 goals in 24 league outings for Ferencvaros last term and struck twice in the recent 3-0 friendly defeat of Israel.
The Magyars will look to get left-wing-back Milos Kerkez, who excelled for Bournemouth last season and is attracting many an interested glance, to provide width and attacking verve from deep.
Not nursing any new injuries, the Swiss will again rely on golden generation Granit Xhaka, Ricardo Rodriguez, Xherdan Shaqiri and Yann Sommer – all now in their mid-30s – if they're to make it out of the group. Starting well is seen as a must, with Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji the shining light in defence.
Though relegated from the Premier League with Burnley, Zeki Amdouni is part of the next generation and the 23-year-old had a fine personal campaign in a struggling team. He'll look to start quickly and try to get himself a move.
