In proof there truly is no force of nature more powerful than Australian year 12 students planning for a muck-up day, a group of students from a Melbourne school have gone bonkers viral for swarming a Macca’s restaurant by the hundreds… all dressed as Ronald McDonald.
Decked head-to-toe in yellow jumpsuits, red afro wigs, clown makeup and striped socks, a hundred-ish girls from Sacre Coeur Glen Iris school flocked to a local Macca’s as part of an elaborate muck-up day prank.
During the shenanigans, one student shared a moment of footage of the red-and-yellow stampede to TikTok. The short clip quickly amassed tens of millions of views, and currently has over eight million likes.

Further footage shared to TikTok showed how the store was utterly packed by the students, who all ordered food from the Macca’s at the same time.
Some imagery depicts the students running past the drive through, while others were jumping around joyfully inside and outside the store.

Some comments from users applauded the graduating students for conducting their prank in a way that was respectful to others in the store, but also didn’t harm anyone in any way.
“I like the fact they’re lowkey respectful with it and not trampling to get inside the work area,” one person wrote.
“I just know the workers were SO done,” said another.
This prompted the student to share CCTV footage of the McDonald’s staff being quite confused by the harmless prank, before writing: “Nah they loved us.”

This is easily the funniest thing that’s happened at a McDonald’s this week. And that includes Donald Trump clocking in for a shift there.
Students explain how they pulled off the Ronald McDonald prank
Some of the students then continued their fun and donned the outfits a second time, by appearing on ABC Melbourne Breakfast with comedian Sammy J.
Lizzy Macy and Bridget Grey spoke to Sammy about how they managed to pull off the epic prank.
“Our school captains actually came up with the idea. They sent us a shortlist of uniforms that we could wear, and collectively we all decided we would go as Ronald,” said Lizzy.
As for how they managed to organise everything without any teachers catching a whiff of their mischievous plans: Google Forms and “secret meetings”.
In the interview it was shockingly revealed that the year group didn’t actually plan on stopping at the fast-food establishment.
“We wanted to, but party busses are notoriously known for not stopping. So we think [the drivers] were just hungry for some food,” explained Bridget.

In terms of what the school had to say about the entire shenanigans… nobody knows yet.
“We haven’t been there! But because the feedback has been pretty positive we think they won’t be that mad about it,” the students explained.
Sammy applauded the students for their creativity and wished them the best for their future.
“You’re all awesome, just have great lives all of you and keep on smashing it,” he said.
