Hundreds of motorbikes line streets after heartbreaking loss

Hundreds of motorbikes lined the streets in Wirral after the devastating lost of a young boy.

Pictures showed people riding their motorcycles, mopeds, quadbikes and scooters on Livingstone Street in Birkenhead today, Friday, May 5. It is understood people lined the streets for the funeral of a five-year-old boy named Dennis.

A friend of the family posted on Facebook which was shared in local community groups calling for as many bikes and quadbikes to attend the procession. They said this was due to the little boy's "love for motorbikes and quads" which was "unreal".

She said: "Hi all, please feel free to share. Our friends beautiful five-year-old Dennis sadly passed away far, far too soon last week and his love for motorbikes and quads was unreal.

"His funeral is on Friday, May 5 and his mum and dad have requested if possible as many bikes/quads to attend and escort him to church from his home address onto Landican if possible. Any help would be appreciates. Lets give little Dennis the best send off ever."

People also dressed up as Marvel characters (Liverpool ECHO)

Photos showed hundreds of bikes attending the procession and people also lined the streets to pay their respects. People also dressed up a Marvel characters such as Spider-Man and the Hulk.
