Hundreds of golden retrievers have gathered at an estate in Scotland to celebrate 155 years of the breed.
Dogs and owners from more than 12 countries were at the meet in Guisachan House in the Highlands on Thursday, having travelled from as far as the US, Canada and New Zealand for the event.
The gatherings are held every five years by the Golden Retriever Club of Scotland.
Thursday saw hundreds of dogs and their owners gather at Guisachan, Glen Affric, near Inverness, for a picnic and traditional games such as haggis hurling and tug of war, while dogs gathered for group photos.

Golden retriever owners described it on social media as “a wonderful event”, and the “best day ever”.
Thursday’s gathering was part of a week-long series of activities arranged to mark the 155th anniversary.
On Tuesday, dogs and owners took part in a mile-long procession by torchlight to Guisachan House, beginning at 10pm and ending in a toast to Lord Tweedmouth.
Lord Tweedmouth is understood to have bred the first golden retriever at Guisachan, his Scottish estate, in the early 1860s.
