Hundreds of Easter eggs donated to the Cash for Kids West appeal are being distributed across the region ahead of Sunday.
The appeal was launched in partnership with the Morrisons store in Dumfries and many businesses in the town and Kirkcudbright were collection points. On Monday, volunteers gathered in the donations which will now be distributed to disadvantaged children across Dumfries and Galloway.
Kenny Bowie, from Dumfries, an ambassador for the charity, said: “We have had a great response to the worthwhile cause. A small gift like this means so much to a child who would otherwise go without this Easter.
“Thank you to all the local businesses across Dumfries and Galloway who have helped support our Cash for Kids annual Easter Egg Appeal 2023. With the help of our partner Morrisons, we have been able to help over 1,000 disadvantaged children across Dumfries and Galloway through donations money and Easter eggs, which is fantastic.
“In the current financial climate this has been amazing as we appreciate how tough it is out there to be able to support great causes like this.
