Hundreds of homes and businesses in Wigan have been left without electricity this afternoon after a power cut.
Around 762 properties in the Shevington area are affected by the outage, according to Electricity North West. Engineers are heading to the scene to investigate the problem.
The energy provider's website says that power should be restored by 3.30pm. A tweet posted by Electricity North West said: "We are aware of a #powercut in #Wigan (WN6) affecting 762 customers.

"Our engineer is on their way to investigate. To receive updates on this please DM your full address & contact number.
