Hundreds in Greater Manchester are trying to flog the Prime drink on eBay - with one seller listing it at £1k

Hundreds of people in Greater Manchester are trying to flog bottles of sought-after drink Prime on eBay, with one seller listing an empty bottle for £1,000.

Kids are going crazy for the beverage, which is the brainchild of YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul. One shop in Yorkshire called Wakey Wines claims to sell cans for £100 each - despite the recommended retail price being £2.

To try and cash in on the craze, some people have taken to eBay to try and make a hefty profit on the drink. Within 15 miles of Manchester city centre, there are 546 separate listings for the drink, as of today (Sunday, January 15).

There are crates of 12 for sale at £300 and £10 postage, more than 10 times the price listed on the official Prime website. Another seller is charging £499.99, plus £9.99 postage, for a single bottle of the Meta Moon flavour.

The most expensive is an empty bottle of the blue raspberry flavour, at £1,000. However the seller, who is based within five miles of the city centre has admitted that they are trying their luck, writing "There's NO WAY anyone will buy this" in the product description.

There are also some that are more realistically priced, with the cheapest being a 500ml bottle of the Meta Moon flavour for £3.74 (including postage).

Prime co-founder KSI has slammed people re-selling the drink for profit. In an interview with ITV earlier this week, he said: “I think it is ridiculous that people are re-selling Prime at such high prices. It should not be worth £100 for a can of Prime or £10, £15, £20 for a bottle, it is absolutely ridiculous."
