Hundreds of Edinburgh residents gathered in the city centre on Friday afternoon during a vigil held in memory of Brianna Ghey.
The 16-year-old transgender teen was found stabbed to death at a park in Cheshire last weekend, with police arresting a 15-year-old boy and girl on suspicion of murder.
News of Brianna's death caused outrage from within the LGBT+ community, with many gatherings now organised up and down the country.

One of the many locations in which a special vigil was organised was the Scottish capital, with upwards of 100 people gathering at Bristo Square on Friday night to reflect and stand in solidarity.
Caitlin Wickham, one of the organisers, posted on Twitter: "Join us this Friday for a vigil in remembrance of #BriannaGhey.
"We'll be in Bristo Square at the University of Edinburgh at 12pm. We are coming together to remember Brianna whose life was cut too short. Remember her name."
Images and footage taken from Bristo Square shows a huge crowd having gathered to pay their respects and support trans rights. Several left flowers and held up signs in support of trans people during the moving ceremony.
A similar event was held in Glasgow last week, with more than 1,000 people turning up. One of the organisers, Gemma, told Glasgow Live that trans people need to know they "are not hated."
She added: "It's tragic that this wee girl lost her life and there are a lot of trans people and parents of trans people who are really frightened just now, I think the community needs a bit of support.
"We want to provide comfort to a grieving family but we also want other trans kids and their families to know that they aren't hated, there are so many people on their side that want them to live freely and not be afraid."
