Thousands of AIB customers are unable to access their accounts online this morning due to a technical issue.
It is understood that the app is also affected by the outage as a number of people took to Twitter to warn of the problem.
One person wrote at 7:32am on Wednesday morning: “Is it just me who can't log into AIB online banking or app this morning???”

The Irish bank quickly addressed the glitch, with a spokesperson confirming: “AIB is aware of an issue for some customers using our app and internet banking.
“We apologise to any customers who are affected, and are working to fix this as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile, the issue is also reportedly affecting those whose Revolut accounts are connected to their AIB accounts.
In response to customer complaints, the bank gave more detail, confirming a technical glitch with the system: “We can confirm we are experiencing some technical issues this morning, our IT Team are aware of this and hope to have it resolved as soon as possible,” it wrote.
“Apologies for any inconvenience this may be causing.”
When asked for a timeline of when services will be back online, a spokesperson said: "Unfortunately we do not have a specific timeframe as of yet. The team are working to try to resolve this as quickly as possible.
“Thank you for your continued patience. Please try again later and come back to us if you need further assistance. Thanks"
By 11:15 am on Wednesday the issue was resolved and services have resumed.
