Authorities in Franklin Township, Michigan, have made a significant discovery during an investigation into the disappearance of a woman. The woman, Dee Warner, was reported missing by her family in April 2021. Her husband, Dale John Warner, has been charged with open murder and tampering with evidence in connection to her disappearance.

Michigan State Police recently conducted a search of Dale Warner's property in Lenawee County, where they uncovered human remains. The remains were found in a sealed, empty tank intended for anhydrous ammonia, a fertilizer used for crops. Positive identification of the remains is pending further testing.

The family of Dee Warner has been informed of the findings, and the investigation is ongoing. Dee Warner, who was 52 years old at the time of her disappearance, was last seen on April 25, 2021, in Franklin Township.

Dale Warner, currently in custody at the Lenawee County Jail, maintains his innocence. His attorney asserts that a thorough examination of the evidence will demonstrate his client's innocence in the case.

An autopsy of the discovered remains is scheduled for Tuesday, and Dale Warner is set to appear in court for a pretrial hearing on September 4. The Michigan State Police have refrained from providing further details due to the active nature of the investigation.
