The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation following a disturbing discovery made by a park visitor in Warnimont Park. The resident stumbled upon a human leg at the park located in Cudahy, Wisconsin, near Lake Michigan on April 2.
The severed leg was found in or near the water close to the golf course by the pump house. Authorities have classified the incident as a homicide and have a person of interest in custody. The Milwaukee County Dispatch Center was alerted to the discovery by a park patron who came across the gruesome scene.
Local residents, like John Hemmer, expressed shock and disbelief at the incident, describing the area as typically quiet and safe. Concerns have been raised about the safety of the park following this unsettling find.
