Hulu top 10 shows — here's the 3 worth watching right now

Hulu is one of the best streaming services, in no small part due to its excellent library of shows. Between original shows, as well as shows from FX, ABC and more, there's a ton of great TV to watch. In fact, the Emmys proved that you need Hulu if you're a TV lover, with Hulu shows "Shogun" and "The Bear" taking home the most awards.

But with so many great TV shows available, it can be a bit of a struggle to figure out what to watch. Luckily, Hulu has a top 15 shows and movies collection that gives you a look at what’s trending on the platform.

After going through what's popular this week, we've narrowed down three of Hulu's current top 10 shows that stand out from the rest. There's a new installment from Ryan Murphy's "American Story" franchise of drama shows, as well as a pair of Hulu original shows that are a must-watch this week.

'American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez'

Aaron Hernandez was once a rising star in the NFL. A college football champion under Urban Meyer at Florida, he played for the New England Patriots from 2010 to 2012. He and fellow tight end Rob Gronkowski formed probably the best tight end duo in NFL history during that time. But their partnership was short-lived — during the 2013 offseason, Hernandez was arrested for the murder of Odin Loyd.

“American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez” is a dramatized retelling of Hernandez’s rise and eventual fall. Part of Ryan Murphy's "American Story" franchise, it's important to remember this is still a drama show, Not a documentary. Don’t expect 100% adherence to the truth, but do expect to be on the edge of your seat while watching this FX limited series.

'Only Murders in the Building'

While season 3 of "Only Murders in the Building" largely got shut out at this year's Emmys it still earned 21 Emmy nominations, which was the third most of any TV show. Season 4 has also been a hit so far, following the trio of Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mable (Selena Gomez) to Hollywood to investigate the shocking events from the end of season 3.

This season is a star-studded affair, headlined by Meryl Streep returning as Loretta Durkin. But if you're new to this Hulu murder mystery comedy, start with season 1 episode 1 "True Crime," which is currently in the top 10 for Hulu as people start catching up following the show's Emmy buzz. 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives'

In 2022, Utah "MomTok" influencer Taylor Frankie Paul went viral. Part of a popular group of Mormon TikTokers, she dropped a bombshell on the social media world, revealing that she and her husband had been "soft-swinging" with her fellow influencers.

"The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" picks up months later dealing with the fallout for Paul and her (now former) friends. It'll go into what happened, what's happened since — including a scandalous arrest — and what the heck MomTok is. If you're like my wife, you've already watched the entire first season, but if you haven't, check out this new reality show on Hulu.
