Hull Live Business Awards 2022 launches with entries now open

Hull and East Yorkshire’s resilience and rapid response to ongoing economic challenges will be the toast of the 2022 Hull Live Business Awards.

The ability to bounce back under huge ongoing pressures and continued uncertainty will no doubt form the basis of many an entry as nominations open for the calendar highlight.

A glittering ceremony on November 17 awaits, as success, effort and innovation is celebrated by the community, building on the stories documented via dedicated website Business Live and the Hull Live and Hull Daily Mail titles.

Hull Live editor Jamie Macaskill said: “Having handled Brexit uncertainty, the impact of a global pandemic and now being challenged by a recovery dogged by high energy prices, supply issues and a cost of living crisis, our business community continues to amaze and inspire.

“We’ve seen huge strides being made in tech development alongside significant progress across the traditional industries that make Hull and East Yorkshire the great place to do business that we know it is.

“With major inward investment from new and existing operators continuing to flow, the freeport opportunity and the ever-expanding work in renewables and decarbonisation, we’re more than holding our own - and many are thriving not just surviving.

“Last year’s return to a live event was quite the celebration, and I can’t wait to see that spirit returned as we hear of the amazing feats and excellent endeavours undertaken.”
