A woman has been seriously hurt after falling from a ride at Hull Fair, police said.
She has been rushed to hospital after the incident this evening and Humberside Police is investigating the incident.
The force said she is believed to have plummeted from a ride onto the base of another and struck a teenage boy as she fell.
He is reported to have only minor injuries.
Both rides have been shut following the fall and images showed police cordoning off the scene.
Chief inspector Paul Kirby, tactical commander for Hull Fair said: “A woman has sadly been seriously injured this evening at Hull Fair and taken to hospital by ambulance.
“We do not believe her injuries are life threatening or life changing. Her family are aware."
