Hull could be without three key first-team players for the visit of Bristol City after enduring a turbulent week prior to the season opener.
Goalkeeper Nathan Baxter, who joined the Tigers on loan from Chelsea this summer, remains a doubt having missed their pre-season 3-0 defeat with Peterborough on Saturday. He was in attendance but was spotted with his fingers strapped.
Hull Live also report defender Alfie Jones, forwards Ryan Longman and Mallik Wilks also all sat out of the defeat. The report adds how Jones and Longman are "touch and go whether they'll be fit to face the Robins."
City's opponents will also be without Josh Emmanuel and James Scott who are both injured to disrupt preparations in what has been a difficult week for head coach Shota Arveladze.
While the Robins ended their pre-season preparations with an impressive 1-0 victory over Premier League Bournemouth on Saturday, the Tigers were thumped by League One Peterborough to put pressure on the manager before the season has even got underway.
Hull Live also reports that immediately after the full-time whistle at London Road, Arveladze was furious with his side's performance and conducted local interviews just moments after the full-time whistle in front of the dugout. It adds how his mood "was as downcast as he's been" since taking over from Grant McCann in January.
He labelled the performance as "a disaster" also questioning the player's body language just days after Hull also lost 4-0 to Leicester.
Arveladze said: "We have to play 90 minutes, we have to go on but it's not acceptable, it's definitely not acceptable. I can imagine some heavy legs, two games, some of them are not ready but that's still not acceptable.
"It's the second time. After 30 seconds we concede a goal, with every player behind the ball, I'm very disappointed. It's not about one mistake. The body language - it was like a disaster.
"We have to (fix it). I'm thinking about it, after games it is difficult but I'm thinking. The club does everything to show much they can do for the players, this is really tough to stand (here and talk about it)."
Hull have been busy in the summer transfer market landing eight new players including three big money deals. Forward Allahyar Sayyadmanesh joined on a permanent deal for a fee believed to be around £2million, winger Dogukan Sinik arrived for around £3.6m and Ozan Tufan signed from Fenerbahce for £2.7m.
They also pulled off a deal to bring former Fulham midfielder Jean Michael Seri on a free transfer and forward Oscar Estupinan, with the Colombian regarded as a coup in the Championship. However, there is always the familiar problem with a raft of new signings that it may take some time for players to gel which could play into the hands of the Robins.
