Tottenham star Hugo Lloris has furiously slammed his own supporters after Davinson Sanchez was booed during the defeat to struggling Bournemouth.
Sanchez came on a a sub in the first-half, but was taken off himself just 23 minutes later following a poor performance. The Colombian struggled to get to grips with the Cherries' attack, as the visitors claimed a thrilling 3-2 win to boost their survival hopes.
The defeat is a huge blow to Spurs' chances of claiming a Champions League qualification place, with Sanchez the main target of fan anger. He was booed after his mistake led to Dominic Solanke's goal, while his replacement Arnaut Danjuma was loudly cheered as he came on.
The incident left Lloris' furious and he took aim at the home crowd for their reaction to Sanchez's difficult day. The Frenchman branded the booing "sad for the club" on another disappointing afternoon for Spurs.
"It started earlier, it's not when he left the pitch, it's when he came on. I've never seen this in my career. I feel really bad for Davinson. He's a team-mate, he's a friend and he's been fighting for the club for many, many years now, and it's just sad," he told beIN Sport.
"The story is sad for the club, for the fans, for the player. It's something you don't want to see in football. We changed tactically obviously, we went more aggressive, more offensive, we created much.

"Then the problem is when you are 2-2 you are very unbalanced because you have plenty of offensive players and we conceded. There is a lot of disappointment. We went through different feelings but we have to recover from that.
"There is no relation between the game today and the season so far. The only unique reason we lost the game is because at half-time we should be 2-0 up and we are 1-1. It's about small details, details that change the story of the game."
Spurs boss Cristian Stellini insisted he would support Sanchez despite his ruthless decision to haul the defender off. And he admitted that the Colombian was not solely to blame for Tottenham's defeat.
"I understand it's a tough moment for everyone and we have to analyse this moment. Everyone needs to analyse how important it is to support a player. I take every responsibility for the decision I make," the Italian said.
"I thought it was too early in the game to use another striker, so I didn't think that was the time. Then in the second half it was so Davinson came off. It was a tough moment and we will support him. It is a tough moment for him and also the team.
"If the team pushes more when we score the first goal we aren't speaking about a defeat. It's not only Davinson. Every player can help. It is a really tough day today because we didn't achieve what we want. We gave everything on the pitch and I think everyone understands this."
